Information needed for obtaining a marriage license in Putnam CountyMust be 18 years of age and one of the applicants must be a resident of Putnam County, or both applicants can reside outside of West Virginia.
If under the age of 18 must have parental consent, and there is also a three day waiting period before the license can be issued.
The following information is needed to apply for a marriage license in Putnam County;
Proper ID: Valid Drivers License or Certified Birth certificate
Bride and Groom:
The marriage license is valid for 60 days. If the applicants have not married after the 60 days the license is void. If you wish to get married you will need to obtain a new license.
